Going Greek
Going Greek is an opportunity to create an unforgettable and exceptional collegiate experience. The friendships and memories created during the recruitment process are some that all sorority members hold near and dear to our hearts and members of the Panhellenic community cannot wait for you to experience this opportunity for yourself. Our sisters look forward to seeing you at this year's fall recruitment at Western Michigan University!
Academic InterestAlpha Chi Omega believes in the importance of intellectual development and urges sound scholarship and superior intellectual achievement. Members wishing to join the Gamma Xi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega must demonstrate this with an overall minimum GPA of 2.8.
LeadershipAlpha Chi Omega believes that character, personality, and leadership develop through participation in campus activities and urges each collegian to be interested in their community. Each member holds leadership qualities that allow our sisters to be some of the most successful women not only locally, but nationally. These leadership characteristics allow our sisters to thrive on campus and in life beyond their college years.
CharacterAlpha Chi Omega expects members to accept and reflect moral integrity and dignity, social awareness, and fraternity interest and loyalty. These are women who do not back down from a challenge, that speak up for what is right, and that use the power of their voice to create change in our world.
Financial ResponsibilityAlpha Chi Omega expects each member to be responsible for prompt payments of all dues, fees, and other financial commitments. Alpha Chi Omega offers scholarship programs and payment plans for our sisters and encourages fiscal responsibility in and out of our chapter.
Personal DevelopmentAlpha Chi Omega believes in the development of our members in cultural appreciation and one's social graces. Success in personal development can not be obtained without putting yourself out there in community involvement, academic success, and social engagement. Our sisters volunteer at least twelve hours per semester, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.85, and dedicate time to develop themselves in a multitude of ways that allow for personal growth and success.
